Thousands of Flowers Grown by Inmates Donated to Olmsted Parks

This morning, Sheriff Howard and personnel from the Erie County Correctional Facility delivered thousands of flowers to Olmsted Park Conservancy's Riverside Park.

The flowers were grown from seed by inmates participating in the Horticultural Program at the jail. Each year this program grows thousand of flowers and donates them to the Erie County Parks Department, community centers, senior citizen centers, block clubs, and local municipalities.
