COCAINE, POUND OF POT FOUND DURING TRAFFIC STOP
Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Deputies Cannan and Bauer stopped a vehicle for violations on January 9 at approximately 1:10 A.M. on Whitehaven Road near Interstate 190. During their investigation, the Deputies discovered a quantity of cocaine and nearly a pound of marijuana and arrested Mark Patterson, 31 of Amherst. Paterson is charged with a felony count of marijuana, misdemeanor counts of aggravated unlicensed operation and criminal possession of a controlled substance and three separate vehicle and traffic law violations. Paterson is held at the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in Grand Island Town Court on January 9.
