Woman Creates Rath Bldg Disturbance, Arrested With Stolen Credit Cards

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard on July 14, Deputies Simmeth and Bartholomew responded to the fourth floor of the Rath Building for a disorderly female; the woman was demanding Erie County employees provide her with a form of photo identification.

While investigating the incident, the Deputies discovered Kellie Clay, 32 of Buffalo, had outstanding warrants from the City of Buffalo and took her into custody. While searching the wanted individual, the Deputies discovered two credit cards later determined to be stolen. Subsequently, Clay was arrested and charged with a Class-E felony for criminal possession of stolen property and a misdemeanor count of criminal mischief.

The defendant remains in the Erie County Holding Center on $5,000.00 bail or bond, and the Sheriff’s Office notified the Buffalo Police Department about her incarceration.
