Winter Storm Watch For Southern Erie County.


Winter Storm Watch issued January 08 at 9:41AM EST until January 10 at 6:00PM EST by NWS Buffalo.



DESCRIPTION: ...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THROUGH THURSDAY AFTERNOON... *


WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches possible in the most persistent lake snows, with greatest amounts expected along the Chautauqua Ridge. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. *


WHERE...Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie counties. * WHEN...From late tonight through Thursday afternoon. *


ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel could be very difficult. Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.
