West Seneca Police Detectives Investigating Fatal Early Morning House Fire.


At approximately 4:50 AM on Monday, September 28, 2020, the West Seneca Police Department and East Seneca Fire Company responded to a 911 call reporting a structure fire at 4422 Clinton St.


When officers and firefighters arrived at the scene, the house was fully involved. Police immediately shut down Clinton St. between Borden Rd. and Bosse Ln. for firefighting operations. At approximately 5:30 AM, the fire was declared under control, with the bulk of the flames extinguished and only a few hotspots remaining to be doused.


One victim was located inside the house by firefighters. The victim was transported to South Buffalo Mercy Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. The victim’s identity is not being released, pending notification of family members.


The cause and origin of the fire remains under investigation by our detectives.


Several fire companies assisted at the scene.
