West Seneca Police Dept Citizens Academy begins 9/13/17.

The West Seneca Police Department will be hosting our annual Citizens Police Academy this fall. The academy is tentatively set to begin 9/13/2017 and run 10 consecutive Wednesday nights from 7-10 pm. The CPA enables the participants to see how the department is organized and run from many different levels. Topics include officer recruitment, staffing, patrol operations, accident investigations, use of force, community policing programs, state and local laws, and court functions. Participants will have the opportunity to ride along with an officer, and see first hand the job we do everyday, as well as shoot a police issued firearm at the training range. A graduation reception will be held at the conclusion of the academy. Participation in this course is limited to the residents of the Town of West Seneca who are at least 21 years of age. You can apply directly on our website www.wspolice.com Under the community services tab, click on Citizens Police Academy and scroll over to CPA Registration For more information on our program please contact: Ass't Chief Michael Boehringer @ 674-2280 ext.136
