West Seneca man arrested after applying for a position with the Boy Scouts using forged documents.

On March 10, 2020, State Police out of SP Buffalo were notified by the New York State Department of Health, of an investigation involving an individual applying for a position as a Health Officer with the Boy Scouts of America, using forged documents.
Corey Stafford, 42, of West Seneca, NY, was a Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts when he listed that he was an Emergency Medical Technician with New York State on an application. When asked for his proof of certification, Stafford, whose original name was Corey Donoughe, supplied a forged certificate that belonged to someone else.
Troopers arrested Stafford and processed him at SP Buffalo where he was charged with Forgery 2nd degree; a Class D Felony and Falsifying Business Records 1st degree; a Class E Felony.
Stafford was released with appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Cheektowaga Court on March 25, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.
