Traffic Stop By NYS Police Leads to Drug Arrests.
On January15th, 2019, Troopers out of SP Jamestown arrested Peggysue Goldsmith, 33, of Jamestown, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7thDegree and a juvenile for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 5th Degree.
Goldsmith was pulled over on I-86 in Stow for speeding and while speaking to Goldsmith, the Troopers smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. A State Police K-9 aided in the search of the vehicle and alerted on the passenger side floor area and a purse belonging to Goldsmith. Upon completion of the vehicle search and its occupants, Goldsmith was found to be in possession of a loose Hydrocodone pill and a bottle containing 28 Hydrocodone pills and over 25 grams of marijuana were on the juvenile’s person. Goldsmith and the juvenile were placed under arrest, transported to SP Jamestown and processed. Goldsmith was issued an appearance ticket and a speeding ticket for the town of North Harmony Court, and the juvenile was issued appearance tickets for Chautauqua County Family Court. Goldsmith and the juvenile are scheduled to appear in court later in the month.
