Tractor Trailer Tire Explodes Damages Nearby Building.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the truck inspection unit was called to an incident on North Main Street in Holland Tuesday morning around 3:15. Callers to the Sheriff’s dispatch reported hearing a loud explosion and a trailer was on fire. When Deputies arrived, they observed a tire on the trailer had exploded and caused damage to a structure at 23 North Main Street. The Sheriff’s Commercial Truck Inspection Unit was called to continue the investigation and issued Henry Watson of Ontario, Canada a ticket for operating a vehicle with a suspended license. The operator’s license was suspended since 1990 for failing to answer a summons in the Town of Pamelia in Jefferson County, New York. Additional charges could be added pending the completion of the investigation.
