The Sovereign Citizen Movement.
What is a Sovereign Citizen? Why do they matter to you?*
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) classifies some sovereign citizens (“sovereign citizen extremists”) as domestic terrorists. The FBI lists the sovereign citizen extremists among the nation’s top domestic terror threats.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation considers Sovereign Citizens to be a “Growing Threat to Law Enforcement.” While most Sovereign Citizens are nonviolent, some Sovereign Citizens believe that violence is necessary to defend against what they perceive to be an illegitimate government.
