Thanksgiving Day Accident Claims 2nd Life.

[Cheektowaga] On a day we are supposed to be with family and loved ones, the lives of 2 local families were forever changed. This Thanksgiving Day we saw 2 tragic events unfold. In one, a 5-year-old in Hamburg was accidentally and fatally run over in his own driveway. The second was only about an hour before in Cheektowaga. Cleveland Hill Firefighters were called to an address on Beach Road for an 8-month-old who had fallen from a table, Striking their head and was reported to be in cardiac arrest. Cheektowaga Police, Cleveland Hill Firefighters, and paramedics from AMR Ambulance responded to the scene. The child was rushed to Sisters of Charity Hospital, St. Joseph’s Campus, where life-saving measures were given.

Cheektowaga Police revealed on Saturday. November 24th, that the child was in critical condition. Today, November 26th, a source close to the family let us know that the child had been taken off life support yesterday (November 25th). We still do not know what led to the cause of the accident in this case, and our hearts go out to the family of both victims and those of the firefighters, EMS, and police officers that were on the scene, doing all they could.

Right now this is still a developing story and we will post more information when and if the info becomes available.
