A 32 year old armed male surrendered to police Sunday evening after over two hours of negotiations.
Cheektowaga Police responded to a call of a domestic situation at a Rossler Avenue address Sunday at about 6:45pm.
Reports were that a male inside was going through a mental crisis and that he was armed.
First officers on scene did observe the male with both a handgun and a long gun in the window of the residence. The Cheektowaga Police Crisis Support Team was called to the scene to assist.
Phone contact was established with the male inside and conversations between he and negotiators commenced.
After just over two hours of conversations with Support Team members, the male walked out of the residence and turned himself in to officers on scene.
No person suffered injury.
Domestic and weapons charges are pending.
The males name is being withheld at this time as charges are pending.
Thank you to the Cheektowaga and West Seneca Police for a peaceful ending.
