Scranton Rollover MVA.
Shortly before noon Wed., Feb. 27th, the Scranton Fire Company was dispatched to a reported rollover down an embankment on Sowles Road. However, it quickly became apparent to nearby homeowners that instead, this vehicle had left the roadway near the intersection of Sowles and Old Sowles, plowing through multiple front yards, striking another vehicle parked in a driveway, smashing a basketball hoop, crossing Old Sowles and obliterating an electrical box before eventually rolling over and becoming wedged between trees. The sole occupant of the vehicle was reportedly trapped inside.
MercyFlight was initially requested, however later it was opted to transport the patient hot via the AMR ambulance to a local hospital with an active code.
Scranton FC responded with Chief 9, Rescue 7, Squad 7-1, and Engine 2. Big Tree Fire Company Ambulance 8 responded as mutual aid. AMR arrived for support, and multiple Town of Hamburg police officers were present securing the scene as well.
Great work to all the agencies that responded.
