Rath Visitor Checks Crack Pipe Thru Security.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Rath Building security notified Deputies Bartholomew and Sluberski of a Rath Building visitor placing his crack pipe in a security bin at a screening point at 158 Pearl Street.

The Deputies asked Ronald Barney, 54 of Buffalo, about the pipe with the white residue; he responded that he recently smoked crack cocaine.

Barney is charged with one count of criminal possession of a controlled substance. The defendant was processed and released on appearance tickets for Buffalo City Court.
