Please Support Our Buffalo Dispatchers and 9-1-1 Call Takers.
National Telecommunications Week has just wrapped up. A week to honor the hard work 9-1-1 Call Takers and Police and Fire Dispatchers do each and every day and at most times are very stressful and dramatic in nature.
As we seen Thank You Messages from Police Agencies and Fire Depts around the Country, The City of Buffalo Hasn’t said a word. Never even a word of Thanks. A Handshake, Not one person from the Brass showed up at 45 Elm St to give a little love and respect to our Emergency Communications Specialists that 24 hours of each and every day are the backbone to saving life's of our citizens of Buffalo and making sure our First Responders have every possible resource available to them to make sure they are safe as well and may complete their jobs unharmed.
I ask that if you have any positive stories you personally have encountered (Called 9-1-1 for Help, They gave CPR/First Aid Instructions over the phone, Have sent Police/Fire/EMS to you for help) that you share them and give thanks to our Dispatchers and 9-1-1 Call Takers. The City of Buffalos Officials may have not said thank you. But We Can Say Thank You for them.
