NYSP Investigating A Serious Personal Injury Crash on I-90 in the Town of Leroy, Genesee County.

On December 24, 2020, at approximately 2:18 p.m., State Police responded to a report of a serious personal injury crash that occurred on I-90 in the town of Leroy, Genesee County.

A preliminary investigation determined that Donnavan B. Seymour, 18, of Yonkers, NY, was operating a 2020 Mitsubishi suburban eastbound near mile marker 380.5 when he came upon a slow moving vehicle. Seymour swerved to the right, exited the roadway, and struck an earth embankment causing the vehicle to rollover multiple times.

The passenger of the vehicle, Donnavan Seymour, 42, of New York, NY, was not wearing a seat belt and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight for life-threatening injuries, where he remains in critical condition.

The driver was evaluated at Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The right lane was closed for several hours while the accident was reconstructed. The crash remains under investigation.
