NYSP Are Investigating A Hit And Run Accident Where A Trooper Was Struck On I-95.

On April 28, 2021, shortly before 9:00 p.m., a Trooper assigned to SP New Rochelle was conducting a vehicle and traffic stop on I-95 southbound, in the area of mile marker 6.3 in the city of New Rochelle. The Trooper was walking back to his patrol car when a white van failed to move over and struck the Trooper. The van failed to stop.

The Trooper was transported to White Plains Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The van did not hit the Troop car or the vehicle which was pulled over. No other injuries were reported.
