Mother With Her Child In Vehicle Arrested For DWI and Drugs.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of Rebecca Goodman, 42 of Clarence, for a Leandra’s Law charge following a traffic stop.

At 2:30 P.M. on July 21, Deputy Szczepanski stopped a vehicle along Salt Road in Clarence for vehicle and traffic violations. After an investigation, a Sheriff’s Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) was dispatched to evaluate Goodman for impairment.

Deputy Biegasiewicz, a DRE, determined the driver was impaired by drugs and she was arrested and charged with a felony count of aggravated DWI and two vehicle and traffic violations.

The 10-year-old male was turned over to his father and Goodman was later released on appearance tickets for Clarence Town Court.
