MAN CHARGED WITH POSSESSION AND SALE OF HEROIN.



Over a month long investigation conducted by the Erie County Sheriff’s Office (ECSO) Narcotics Unit assisted by the Buffalo Police Department (BPD) Narcotics Unit into the distribution and sale of heroin by 37 year old Jose Nazario of West Tupper Street, Buffalo, NY 14201, resulted in the seizure of approximately 50 grams of heroin , a quantity of Suboxone & marihuana.

Beginning in January of this year Detectives from the ECSO Narcotics Unit began to make controlled purchases of heroin from Nazario at locations in the City of Buffalo.

On 2/2/18 at approximately 6:30 AM ECSO Narcotics personnel along with BPD Narcotics personnel executed an Erie County Search Warrant signed by Judge Kenneth Case at 159 West Tupper Street, upper apartment, Buffalo, NY 14201, directly across the street from Buffalo Public School #76 (Herman Badillo Bilingual Academy) Officers recovered approximately 50 grams of heroin, a quantity of Suboxone & marihuana. 

Nazario was present at the time of the warrant. Nazario has been charged with felony counts of Criminal Sale of a controlled Substance & Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a misdemeanor count of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, and a violation level marihuana charge. 

Nazario has been placed in the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
