Patrol responded to a North Aurora St grocery store for a report of a shoplifting. The store manager advised that a female concealed items in her purse and left the store without paying. A description of the female Subject was given and Patrol was able to locate her. While speaking to the female an Officer observed some merchandise in plain view in her partially open purse. The female was taken into custody for petit larceny without incident and returned to the station for booking. She was later released on an appearance ticket.
An Officer checked the DMV status of a vehicle traveling on Transit Rd. The vehicles inspection was shown to have expired in 2020, however the vehicle had a 2021 inspection sticker displayed. The vehicle turned onto Freeman Rd and a traffic stop was imitated. Upon speaking with the driver, it was apparent that the inspection sticker was a photocopy/forgery. The driver was taken into custody for possessing a forged instrument in the 2nd degree (a Class D Felony), operating a motor vehicle without an inspection certificate and displaying a forged inspection certificate. During an inventory search of the vehicle the Officer also located suspected cocaine and heroin. The driver was additionally charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree. He was returned to the station for booking and later released on an appearance ticket and UTTs.

Patrol responded to a Transit Rd hotel for a complaint of a loud party/disturbance. A 25 year old female from Buffalo who was on location was found to have an outstanding warrant out of Niagara County. The female was taken into custody without incident and turned over to the Niagara County Sheriff's Office.
An Officer observed a vehicle operating on Transit Rd with dark tinted windows and no front license plate. A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle pulled into the lot of a Transit Rd hotel. The driver was known from previous encounters to have a suspended driver’s license. The status was confirmed and the driver was taken into custody for aggravated unlicensed operation. During a subsequent inventory search of the vehicle, the Officer located a switchblade knife, marijuana and concentrated cannabis in the center console. The driver was returned to the station for booking and later released on UTTs and an appearance ticket. The 26 year old male from Clarence was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation, operating a motor vehicle without insurance, plate display violation, window tint violation, unlawful possession of marijuana in the 2nd degree, criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the 3rd degree (Class D Felony).
Officers completed traffic details on Broadway, Como Park Blvd, Forton Dr, Lake Ave, Penora St, Pleasant View Drive (16) and Transit Rd.
Officers took 13 reports of Unemployment fraud. The cases were referred to Detectives and the Department of labor.
An Erie St automotive shop reported a larceny of scrap metal and batteries totaling approximately $250. The case has been referred to Detectives.
Patrol responded to a Transit Rd hotel for a male that was harassing the female staff. Patrol located the male at his room and was advised to leave at the request of the hotel. The male received a refund and left without incident. A short while later, an Officer observed the male walking back into the hotel. The Officer made contact with the male who stated he was upset that he was refunded on his credit card and not given cash. He was advised again to leave or the hotel would be filing charges for trespassing.
