Hunters Shot In Lockport.
On May 8, 2020, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) arrested Scott E. Brown, 59 of Lockport, NY for Assault 3rddegree (A Misdemeanor) and Reckless Endangerment 2nddegree (A Misdemeanor).
On May 8, 2020 at 6:21 A.M., Troopers out of SP Lockport responded to a property off Raymond Road in the town of Lockport near Rapids Road for a possible shooting. Further investigation by the BCI and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) revealed that in two male hunters ages 44 and 37 entered the property to hunt when they located hunting decoys in the area. They started to leave that area of property and were shot by Brown with a 12-gauge black powder gun with turkey shot. One of the victims had pellets lodged in his facial area and the other on the back. Brown approached the victims and then left the scene before law enforcement arrived. The 44-year-old victim was taken to Erie County Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. The 37-year-old victim was treated at the scene by Rapids Fire Company. Brown was located by Troopers out of SP Lockport and arrested.
Brown was issued an appearance ticket returnable to Niagara Court later in May 2020.
