(UPDATED) Horrific Crash Over Night at Military And Sheridan Dr. Leaves 2 Dead.

Updated: Feb 15, 2020

2 People Are Deceased after a Vehicle rams into “up to” 6 other vehicles that were stopped at a red light at Sheridan Drive at Military Road over night.

We are receiving word from witnesses that were on scene that a vehicle reported to have been traveling at rates of 80-90MPH when the crash occurred. the vehicle wrecked into vehicles that were stopped at a Red Light at Sheridan Drive and Military Road around 11PM. 3 Injuries total were reported and their conditions are not known at this time.

We are still working to get more info on this major incident and have reached out to Town of Tonawanda Police for further info. We will post whatever details we receive when they are given to us.

Update: In previous reports it was suggested that the suspect was fleeing from Police when this accident occurred. The man WAS NOT Fleeing Buffalo Police when the accident occurred. Sources familiar with the investigation say the suspect had been in involved in an earlier accident at Military and Skillen in Buffalo where he pulled a gun on a woman and then took off from that scene. The woman involved in that incident gave Buffalo Police Officers the plate info when they arrived on scene and they ran the tag and were sending cars to his home in Tonawanda when they rolled up to the accident scene at Sheridan and Military that had just previously taken place before their arrival. Again, No Police Chase Was Involved. This Suspect was purely driving recklessly without any regard for others on the roadways. One weapon was recovered at the crash and the deceased male driver has prior charges involving illegal handgun possession.

This is still an ongoing investigation and the Town of Tonawanda Police ask that if anyone witnessed this incident to please call (716) 879-6614.

Here is a Official Statement from the Town of Tonawanda Police.
