Final Call. K-9 43, Ofc Craig Lehner.

Officer Craig Lehner of the Buffalo, New York Police Dept was on a training exercise with the Underwater Recovery Team along the Niagara River (Attached to the Eastern end of Lake Erie) on Friday, Oct 13th, 2017 when something horrible went wrong and Officer Lehner never surfaced until Tuesday, Oct 17th, 2017 when his body was located at the foot of Ontario St (Near Strawberry Island)  at around 1300hrs. Officer Lehner was an 9 year veteran of the Buffalo Police Dept. A K-9 Officer and URT (Underwater Recovery Team) Member and was also a member of the Army National Guard where he has served overseas. Officer Lehner was an Shinning Example of the bravery and dedication Officers face each and every day. He will be sadly missed by MANY Far and Wide!
