On October 11, 2019 at approximately 4:00 P.M., a Trooper stationed out of SP Fredonia was flagged down by a motorist while on patrol on State Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. Further investigation revealed that a 1976 International tractor operated by Daniel Hunt, 50 of Fredonia, NY was traveling southbound on State Route 60 and while turning onto a farm access road the tractor went into an embankment, striking a tree then rolled coming to rest on Hunt. Hunt was pronounced at the scene by Chautauqua County Coroner.
