Erie County Sheriff's Office Weekend Patrols And Investigations Ends With Arrests.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the following arrests following investigations.

June 26, 9:40 p.m., Town of Concord – a Deputy initiated a traffic stop for an unregistered vehicle along the southbound section of Route 219.  The Deputy discovered the operator’s license is suspended, and he is on parole.  39-year-old Samuel McKenney of Olean was detained.

A subsequent search of the subject discovered approximately 28 grams of cocaine.  McKenney was arrested and charged with felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and concealing/destroying evidence.  The defendant is also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

June 28, 9:28 a.m., Town of Grand Island – Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident at Fix and East River roads. Grand Island Fire Company personnel were evaluating the parties, and while speaking with 27-year-old Krysta Kinmartin of Grand Island, Deputies observed signs of impairment.

Kinmartin failed multiple standard field sobriety tests, and a preliminary breath test indicated BAC of twice the legal limit.

She was arrested and charged with DWI, operating a vehicle with a BAC of .08% or higher, ad failing to stop at a stop sign.  The defendant was processed and released with appearance tickets.

June 28, 9:52 p.m., Town of Collins – Deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint in the area of South Quaker and West Becker streets where a driver was sounding the horn and yelling for help.

Katlyn Pedziwiatr, 23 of Concord, stated to the Deputies that she was driving home and became lost.  She also admitted to drinking alcohol at a beach bar.

Pedziwiatr failed multiple standard field sobriety tests, and a chemical breath test indicated a BAC twice the legal limit.  She was arrested and charged with aggravated DWI - .18 BAC or higher, DWI, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or higher, operating an unregistered vehicle, and stopping on a highway.  The defendant was processed and released to a sober third party.

June 29, 12:00 a.m., Village of Springville – Following a traffic stop along South Cascade Drive and a search, Deputies arrested the operator and a passenger after discovering a quantity of methamphetamines and crystal meth.

42-year-old Rachel Wilson of North Collins, the operator, was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and a vehicle and traffic law violation.

22-year-old Todd Speck of Eden was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both were processed and released with appearance tickets.
