Erie County Sheriff's office Patrol Logs for the Town of Clarence from 8/3 through 8/9.


08/03/19:

Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Woodside Drive in Clarence. A male reported that he had gotten into an argument with his roommate and that the other male had struck him with his vehicle when he drove off. Police stopped the offender’s vehicle on Transit Road and took a nineteen year old male into custody. The male was charged with attempted assault, reckless endangerment and possession of a forged instrument. The male was transported to the holding center. Five counterfeit one hundred dollar bills were taken as evidence.


08/04/19:

Deputies stopped a vehicle on Greiner Road for a speeding infraction forty one year old Timothy Lunetta was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and operating a vehicle without an alcohol interlock device. Lunetta’s license was revoked with multiple open scofflaws for failure to appear in court. He was remanded to the holding center.


Deputies stopped a vehicle on Ransom Road near Genesee Street. The male driver claimed that he didn’t not have his license in his possession and gave patrol a false name. After determining the male’s identity, it was discovered that the male’s license had been revoked for driving while intoxicated. Thirty six year old Terry Long was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree (felony), felony level aggravated driving while intoxicated (Blood alcohol content .20 on one percent) and false personation. He also received several tickets for traffic infractions. Long was transported to the holding center pending arraignment.


08/05/19:

A resident of Corinne Lane called about an elderly male with a walker that was ringing is doorbell. The male was taken back to his residence.


A deputy had to break a window to gain entry into a locked vehicle after two small children accidently became locked in the vehicle.


08/06/19:

 A deputy stopped a vehicle being driven on Greiner Road after the vehicle drove off the shoulder and hit two garbage cans. Thirty six year old Nicholas Tagiarino failed roadside sobriety tests and was charged with driving while intoxicated. Taglirino refused to submit to a breath test and was remanded to the holding center on cash bail.  


An elderly female was scammed out of over twenty thousand dollars when he was fleeced by the grandparent scam. A person typically calls and states that they have your grandchild and that they need a large amount of cash for bail and have you either wire money or send green dot cards or pre-paid cards from Apple or Google.


08/07/19:

Twenty two year old Anastasia Mangafas was charged with petit larceny after she was apprehended for pushing out a cart full of groceries from Walmart without paying. She was remanded to the holding center on cash bail.


 A male wanted to report missing property at a residence on Woodside Drive. The male had been arrested on August third at the same residence.


08/08/19:

The fire department responded to Trailing Drive for a smell of smoke in a residence.


A resident of Circle Court needed advise because his daughter keeps trying to scam his father out of money. He was advised to tell his daughter that she is no longer welcome and to call the police if she returns.


08/09/19:

Deputies stopped a vehicle on Transit Road for a traffic violation. The driver was arrested for driving on a revoked driver’s license (alcohol related conviction). Justin Morrison was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the second degree and several equipment violations.  Morrison was also arrested on a bench warrant out of the city of Buffalo.


Deputies are investigating a shoplifting incident at Walmart. A female fled the area in a small Chevy sedan.
