Erie County Sheriff's Office Patrol Logs for the Town of Clarence from 1/25 Through 1/31.


A resident of Ledge Lane called the police because she thought it was suspicious that the light on the neighbor’s front porch was flickering on and off. A 911 hang up call came in from an address on Strickler Road. It was accidental. Deputies responded to Thornwood Lane to check the welfare of a female. A friend was worried about her because she believed that the female’s boyfriend had hit her. The male was not on scene and the female did not wish to speak with patrol. 01/26/20: Deputies responded to Hillcrest Drive to do an evaluation of a male for Crisis Services. Everything was fine. A burglar alarm was reported at Spot Coffee on Transit Road. Patrol checked the building and found it to be secure. 01/27/20: Deputies responded to an injury accident at Transit Road and Main Street. A male who was crossing the street against the traffic signal was struck by a tractor trailer. The male was transported to ECMC with a head injury. A resident of Railroad Street was having problems with unwanted phone calls from family members. She was advised of her options. A male reported that someone had stolen tools and credit cards from his vehicle while he was at the Golf Dome. The incident is under investigation. 01/28/20: A resident of Glenwood Drive called about an ongoing problem with kids trespassing on his property. The offending parties were advised by patrol. Sixty six year old Ralph Garrett was charged with petit larceny and criminal trespass following an incident at the Brother of Mercy Apartments. He was processed and released on an appearance ticket. Deputies responded to a disturbance on Main Street. A sixteen year old female was angry because her mother turned off the internet for the night. The teen was advised to go to bed and stop causing problems. 01/29/20: Thirty three year old Erica Johnson was arrested for petit larceny charges after she was detained by Burlington Coat Factory for employee theft. Fellow employees sixty year old Myra Burks and thirty six year old Antionette Williams were also charged with petit larceny. A caller reported she had used her credit card at McDonalds the night before and now she had fraudulent charges on her account. The incident is under investigation. 01/30/20: Seventy two year old Rovell Jones turned himself in at the Clarence town court on an outstanding warrant. The charges on the warrant were petit larceny and criminal mischief. He was arraigned and released. A resident of Northfield Road reported that a car had driven over his mailbox. A caller from Oakdale Lane thought that it was suspicious that someone rang the doorbell and then knocked on the door. When she answered the door, a female stated that she needed directions and left. 01/31/20: A gas heater was stolen from an address on Salt Road. The issue is under investigation. Patrol checked the area of Oakdale Lane for a group of kids who were ringing doorbells and running away.

A resident of Thompson-wood Drive reported that someone had set up a fake online profile of her on Instagram.
