Erie County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Logs for the Town of Clarence From 08/01 Through 08/07.


08/01/20:

Deputies responded to Main Street and Transit Road for a report of a male that had cut his wrist. The male was transported to ECMC for medical treatment and an evaluation.

A male was bothering people and asking for money at the Walmart Plaza on Transit Road. The male was gone when patrol arrived.

08/02/20:

A resident of Creekbend Court called after being woken up by a strange noise. The noise had been made by an animal outside of the residence.

A resident of a local nursing home called police and said that she needed help but nobody would help her. The caller was upset about the meatloaf that had been served for lunch.

A caller reported that a tree had fallen and was partially blocking Tonawanda Creek Road. The fire department responded and cut the tree up.

08/03/20:

Detectives from the sheriff’s office arrested a home health care aid on charges of grand larceny that occurred at an address in Clarence in June of this year. Twenty-four-year old Breana Griffin was charged with grand larceny for unauthorized credit card purchases after taking a credit card from the elderly person that she was working for.

A local paving company reported that multiple vehicles had been damaged during the night. The incident is under investigation.

Someone took a red woman’s bicycle from a garage on Feltham Court.

The fire department responded to 7/11 on Main Street for a report of a gasoline spill.

Deputies responded to The Eastern Hills Mall for a shoplifting complaint. The store was able to get the items back after the male that took them dropped them while fleeing the area.

08/04/20:

Multiple unlocked vehicles were gone through on Creekhaven Drive during the early morning hours. Cash and small items were reported missing. Please lock your vehicles at night.

A resident of Fairbrook Court reported that her wallet had been stolen from her unlocked vehicle.

The fire department responded to the Eastern Hills Mall. A fire alarm had been set off by contractors.

08/05/20:

A male reported an incident of road rage on Transit Road. He became upset when the vehicle behind him was honking the horn. He got out to speak to the other person and the person allegedly through a cup of water on him.

An intoxicated male was causing a disturbance at an address on Rock Ledge Drive. He then ran off into the woods. A domestic incident report was completed.

08/06/20:

A resident of Shisler Road was upset about neighbors who were allegedly shooting at geese in the pond behind his house. Patrol spoke with the neighbor and they are using bird bangers to keep the geese off of his lawn. No violation of the law was noted.

A male took some items from Walmart on Transit Road. A warrant will be requested for petit larceny.

Deputies responded to an address on Tonawanda Creek Road to check the welfare of a female at the request of Niagara County Sheriffs. The female and her boyfriend had been involved in a disturbance earlier in Lockport. She was fine.

08/07/20:

Deputies responded to a disturbance between two males on Tonawanda Creek Road. One male had left prior to patrols arrival.

A female came to the station with a complaint of being harassed in an online chat room. She was advised on her options.

Deputies responded to Bickert Drive for a custody dispute. An incident report was completed.
