Erie County Sheriff's Office Patrol Logs For The Town Of Clarence From 05/23 Through 05/29.


05/23/20:

Multiple unlocked vehicles were entered during the overnight hours. Never leave your vehicles unlocked and do not leave valuables in the vehicle overnight.


A resident of Via Del Sole reported that his 2005 Lexus had been stolen. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were in the vehicle.


Items were stolen from several unlocked vehicles on Heather Court.


05/24/20:

Multiple unlocked vehicles were gone through on Candlewood Drive and Clarence Center Road. Change and various personal property was reported missing.


A phantom 911 hang up came in from a vacant field on Main Street.


A resident of Tobermory Avenue reported getting harassing texts from a female who lives in Attica. Patrol advised the female to have no further contact with the male.


A resident of Lake Glen Court reported that someone had keyed his daughter car sometime over the last week.


05/25/20:

A group of kids was allegedly checking door handles on vehicles on Lantana Drive. The kids claim to have been out for a walk the claim to live on Woodruff Drive.


An unlocked vehicle on Oakwood Drive money was taken.


A resident of Barton Road called about fireworks use. Patrol checked the area with negative results.


Someone had stolen a vehicle from Mercedes of Buffalo on Main Street after finding a spare key in the car. The vehicle was located abandoned by Buffalo Police.

Items were stolen from an unlocked car on Wildwood Drive.


05/26/20:

Scammers targeted an elderly resident of Clarence Center Road with the grandparent scam. A person calls pretending to be the person’s grandchild and that they need money for bail after getting arrested. The caller did not send money but was worried because they knew where he lived.


A resident of Bodine Road reported fireworks use at the Park. Patrol checked the area with negative results.


05/27/20:

A male called from Home Depot because his vehicle had been struck by another vehicle when he was in the store.


There is an ongoing problem with kids jumping from the cliff on the west side of Spaulding Lake. The youths are causing a quality of life issue for the people that reside next to the lake.


A resident of East Patricia Drive reported that someone had left a note seeking to rent her house. The note claimed to have seen an advertisement on Craig’s List.


05/28/20:

A fire alarm was reported at Brothers of Mercy. It was set off by construction workers.


An unknown subject in the New York City Area had filed fake unemployment claims for multiple employees of a business on Main Street.


05/29/20:

A resident of Clarence Center Road reported gunshots in the area. Patrol checked the area with negative results.


Patrol responded to an address on Oakway Lane for an elderly caller who needed assistance turning off the water and gas because the hot water tank burst.


A caller reported hearing a woman yelling in the cemetery on Ransom Road. Patrol checked the area and nobody was around.
