Erie County Sheriff's Office Patrol logs for the Town of Clarence from 05/02 Through 05/08.


Deputies were called to Delaware Road for a report of a vehicle that had gone off the road and was stuck in the mud. Patrol spoke with the driver and he had not been drinking. A tow arrived to handle the pull out.

Deputies handled a two vehicle accident on Main Street. There were no injuries.


A resident of Vernon Circle called about two suspicious vehicles that were parked near the end of the street. The vehicles were gone when patrol arrived.

A resident of Shimerville Road reported that sometime during the night a vehicle drove through his yard and hit his neighbors fence. Parts of a small silver/grey sedan possibly a Toyota Prius were found at the scene.


Deputies responded to Wehrle Drive near Barton Road for an unknown trouble complaint. On location a female claimed that she had been assaulted by a male who was on drugs and acting crazy. Deputies apprehended Zachary Jividen age twenty-six on charges of assault, criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal mischief. Jividen was released on appearance tickets.

Deputies responded to South Fireside Drive for a disturbance. A verbal argument between a male and his wife. There were no charges.

A caller reported a possible homeless male sitting on the side of Greiner Road. The male is homeless and he does not want any help from police.


Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Pineledge Drive North. A male and his elderly mother were arguing. There were no charges.

A resident of Westwood Road was afraid to pull into her driveway because a vehicle was parked near her house. Patrol spoke to the driver. The driver had pulled over to make a call.


Patrols responded to several alarms because of high winds.

Deputies responded to a custody dispute on Blossom Court. The male had attempted to bring the child back the night before but nobody was home at the female’s house. The exchange was made without incident.

A resident of Susan Drive reported that change and a lock box were taken from an unlocked vehicle overnight.


A resident of County Road reported that someone had smashed his mailbox sometime overnight.

A resident of Spaulding Drive reported suspicious activity at clubhouse. A large group of teens was advised that they would have to leave.


A burglar alarm was reported on Floss Lane. It had been set off by the homeowner.

Deputies responded to a motel on Main Street for a report of a male causing a disturbance and bothering other guests. Everything was calm when patrol arrived.
