Erie County Sheriff's Office Patrol Logs For The Town of Clarence. 11/09 Through 11/15.


11/09/19:

Deputies stopped a vehicle on Transit Road for a speeding infraction. Twenty four year old Krista Surdej was charged with driving while intoxicated after she failed roadside sobriety tests. Surdej submitted to a breath test which showed her blood alcohol content to be .17 of one percent. She was processed and released to a sober third party.


Deputies responded to Walmart on Transit Road for a panic alarm in the pharmacy. Someone had set the alarm off by accident


Patrol was called to a house on Goodrich Road for a loud party complaint. The homeowner was advised.


11/10/19:

Police handled multiple calls of vehicles that had been gone through during the overnight hours on Vernon Circle. Residents are advised to lock all vehicles and to never leave valuables in the car. One person’s credit card was used at Walmart. The incidents are under investigation.


A male and a female were shoplifting at the Eastern Hills Mall. They fled the area in a Mazda minivan. The incident is under investigation.


A resident of Meadowbrook Drive reported a suspicious vehicle driving around the neighborhood. Patrol checked the area with negative results.


11/11/19:

A caller requested a welfare check of his friend who lived at an address on Rockland Avenue. He had not been able to reach him for several days. The male was fine the phone line had been out.


A resident of Bent Grass Run reported that her son had taken off. The male suffers from mental health issues. The male was located the next day at the Seneca Hawk in Brant. He was asking truck drivers for a ride back to Clarence.


11/12/19:

A holdup alarm was reported at a doctor’s office on Transit Road. It had been set off accidentally by an employee.


A burglar alarm was reported at Murphy Brown Craft Beers on Main Street. The building appeared to be secure.


11/13/19:

Seventy two year old Barbara Heller was charged with petit larceny after she was apprehended while shoplifting at Walmart. She was released on an appearance ticket pending arraignment.


Deputies responded to Main Street for a male that kept falling off of his bike. A highly intoxicated homeless male was transport to the hospital. 


11/14/19:

Deputies responded to Connor Road for a firearms surrender. A caller wished to turn in some guns because of a death in the family.


A male reported that his wallet had been stolen from his vehicle while he was at LA Fitness. You should never leave valuables in an unlocked vehicle.


A male called from a motel on Main Street to complain about loud music coming from the room next door. He was advised to contact the property manager.


11/15/19:

A person walked out of Bed Bath and beyond with several items and fled the area. The worker who called could not provide a description of the vehicle which the person left in.


A vehicle parked at a Transit Road business had its window smashed out. A large duffel bag was stolen.
