Erie County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Logs For Grand Island, NY from 1/25 Through 1/29.

1/25:

Disturbance.

Stonypoint Rd.

-Deputies received a call from a driver having a problem with a male breaking his tow truck. Deputies arrived to find a tow driver repossessing a vehicle and the owner of the vehicle was not happy. Further investigation led deputies to arrest, John Frittita (42), for criminal mischief. Subject was arraigned at Grand Island Court and released.

 

 

 1/26:

Traffic Arrest.

South State Pkwy.

-Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a gray Ford sedan for violations. After speaking with the driver and checking his NYS license he was found to be suspended. Trevann Dunnigan (24) was arrested and issued three tickets and given a courtesy ride to Tim Horton’s to find a ride home.

 

 

 1/27:

Medical/Mental Health.

Carol Ln.

-Deputies responded to a call from crisis services in regards to a possible suicidal female. Deputies and EMS met with a female and spoke about her difficulties. Subject did not meet criteria for transport and has friends with her for the night. She was referredto her counselor for follow up.

 

 

1/28:

Shoplifting.

7-11 on Love Rd.

-Deputies responded for a male who took a can of beer and left the store. Deputies located the male walking and detained him. Subject had the unopened beer in his possession. Store just wanted the beer back, no charges filed. Subject was very drunk and was dropped off at the Budget Motel by patrol.

 

 

 

1/28:

Accident Hit and Run.

Grand Island Sheriff’s Substation.

-Deputies found a light pole and wires down in front of the substation. No vehicle around area was checked by patrol. Town Highway Supervisor was called and he is sending a crew to make safe and remove. Report completed by patrol.



1/29:

DWI/Alcohol.

Grand Island Bd. @ Staley Rd.

-Deputies initiated a traffic stop on a gray Toyota for infractions. Upon speaking with the driver it was determined that he was under the influence of alcohol. Driver, Thomas Carter (31), was detained and later refused a breathalyzer test. Subject was arrested, processed, and released to a third party.
