Erie County Sheriff's Office Makes Arrest In Attempted Murder Investigation.
Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a 41-year-old Clarence male after he attacked an elderly male on July 30 in the Town of Clarence.
Deputies responded to a call at a residence on Manor Wood Lane, yesterday. The caller stated a known individual stabbed him. While en route to the scene, a Deputy observed a male covered in blood and fitting the description of the subject walking along Sawmill Road. The individual was taken into custody without incident and turned over to Detectives.
Detectives arrested and charged Jonathan McKibben with felony counts of attempted murder, assault 2nd - with intent to injure using a weapon, assault 2nd - injure a victim 65-years or older, criminal contempt – violate an order of protection, and burglary – cause physical injury. The defendant is also charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a weapon – intent to use.
The defendant is held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment.
The Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation into this incident.
