Erie Co. Sheriffs Office Patrol Logs/Blotter for the Town of Clarence.



09/08/18: Deputies were called to a disturbance on Laura Lane. Deputies charged forty six year old Orlando Serra with Criminal Contempt (violating a stay away order of protection) and harassment in the second degree. Serra was remanded to the county Jail pending arraignment. Deputies were called to 7-11 on Transit Road for a patron who become upset when the cashier asked for identification when he was attempting to purchase alcohol. The male did not have identification and became belligerent and would not leave the store. The male left prior to the arrival of patrol. 09/09/18: A woman had her purse stolen from her vehicle while she was walking on the Clarence Bike Path. The incident is under investigation. Do not leave purses of valuables in your unattended vehicle. A male called police about his wife’s purse and cell phone which had been taken while they were at a wedding on Shimerville Road. The male had tracked the phone to an address on Trailing Drive with a cell phone tracking application. All of the property was returned and there were no charges. 09/10/18: An employee of the Home Depot on Transit Road was arrested for theft. Thirty year old Heather Schieber was charged with petit larceny for allegedly stealing approximately eight hundred dollars over the month of August. Schieber was terminated from employment and was released on an appearance ticket pending arraignment. A resident of Hidden Pines reported that he was the victim of fraudulent bank activity. The incident is under investigation. 09/11/18: A 911 call was reported at an address on Main Street. It was accidental. A resident of Goodrich Road called the fire department because smoke was coming from a power outlet. 09/12/18: A male was allegedly sitting in a vehicle with an open beer in the parking lot of the Church at the corner of Harris Hill Road and Main Street. Patrol checked the area and the vehicle was gone. 09/13/18: A driver for a lawn maintenance company called about a male that kept driving by a job site and yelling at him. No laws were being violated. A resident of Schurr Road called about a motorcycle that speeds down the street most mornings around 7:30 A.M. 09/14/18: A group of teens was arguing on Barton Road. Patrol spoke with all of the involved subjects and dispersed them. A driver of a dump truck called for assistance because another motorist was insisting that a stone came off of the truck and broke his windshield. In an incident such as this is not considered a traffic accident. Most vehicle insurance policies have coverage for glass breakage. Deputies served a stay away order of protection at an address on Stage Road and removed a male from the residence.
