Erie Co. Sheriff’s Office Patrol Logs for Alden and Marilla from 4/20-4/26.
04/20/19: A passing motorist called in a possible chimney fire at an address on Crittenden Road. The call appears to have been unfounded.
04/21/19: A burglar alarm was reported at an address on Three Rod Road. It had been set off by the homeowner.
A resident of Sandridge Road reported a suspicious pickup truck parked at the cemetery behind the church. The vehicle was gone when patrol arrived.
04/22/19: A resident of Anne Drive reported that someone had stolen a bicycle from his front yard sometime during the night.
04/23/19: Twenty five year old Katherine Burkhard was arrested while visiting a friend at the county correctional facility on Walden Avenue. Staff at the jail received a phone call that she would be attempting to visit an inmate using another person’s identification and that she had several outstanding warrants from Amherst, Tonawanda and Buffalo. She was turned over to Amherst Police.
Deputies responded to Two Rod Road in Alden for a report that a male had forced his way into the residence and was now punching people. Fifty one year old Ronald Morico was charged with Criminal trespass, assault in the third degree and harassment. He was apprehended at an address in Cheektowaga and was remanded to the holding center pending arraignment.
04/24/19: A burglar alarm was reported at an address on Three Rod Road. The alarm had been set off by the person who was house sitting.
04/25/19: First Aid responded to Bush Gardens for a person who was having difficulty breathing. The person was transported to the hospital.
Deputies were called to an address on Townline Road to assist a person in property retrieval. The person got what they needed without incident.
04/26/19: A caller reported that a group of juveniles was setting off fireworks at the Alden Town Park. Three thirteen year olds were advised to go home.
