Erie Co. Sheriff's Office Patrol Log's for the Town of Clarence. 05/11 through 05/17.

05/11/19: Deputies were called to Miland Road. A male stated that he got his oil changed at a local oil change business and they did not put the drain plug back in his oil pan. There was a paper towel in the hole where a plug was meant to go. The caller was advised that an over-site by an employee is a civil issue not a criminal issue which requires being able to prove a person intentionally did something.

05/12/19: A caller reported hearing gun shots near Wehrle Drive and Gunville Road. The town has an ongoing nuisance deer reduction program in that area because of a large number of deer in the area.

A burglar alarm was reported at a business on Main Street. It had been set off by an employee.

05/13/19: Deputies arrested thirty three year old Katie Lovell on a warrant from Buffalo City Court.

Deputies had responded to an address on Bergtold Road after an Uber Driver called in a complaint of a disturbance between a male and a female that he had dropped off at the address.

A caller from Shannon Drive reported that an older male was picking through peoples trash on trash night. It is not against the law to take items that others have thrown into the garbage.

05/14/19: The manager of Burger King on Transit Road called about a male that was harassing people and asking for money. Patrol checked the area with negative results.

A male requested a welfare check on his brother because he had allegedly been drinking to excess. Patrol and the male’s sponsor met with him. The male was intoxicate but otherwise fine.

05/15/19: Deputies arrested thirty six year old Evelyn Jackson on Multiple warrants out of Clarence Court on charges of petit larceny, identity theft and grand larceny from incidents that occurred in 2016. She was remanded to the holding center.

05/16/19: The fire department responded to a smoke alarm at Staybridge Suites. Someone had burned some toast.

A female called police multiple times from a motel on Main Street. She was upset about items that she had in a storage unit being auctioned off by the storage company. She was trying to claim that she had mailed a check that never got to the storage company. She refused to accept that it was in fact a civil issue and that the police deal with criminal issues. She was advised to stop calling. The storage company is within their rights by law to auction property when people do not pay their storage payments.

05/17/19: Deputies arrested thirty seven year old Valerie Devirgilio and thirty nine year old Brian Hagerman for theft of services after they left a restaurant on Transit Road without paying their bill. They were released on appearance tickets pending arraignment in Clarence Court.

A teenage female came to the station because another female had pulled her hair. Patrol spoke with the other female and she admitted to pulling her hair. She was upset about the female sitting in a car with the boy that she was dating. Both teens were advised.
