Alarm

Cole Rd

Patrol responded to a Cole Rd residence at about 3:15 am, after receiving a burglary alarm activation from the residence. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a false alarm.

Crump Rd

Patrol responded to a Crump Rd address at about 3:45 pm after receiving a fire alarm activation from the residence. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a false alarm.

Bleistein Rd

Patrol and the Colden Fire Co responded to a Bleistein Rd address at about 6:00 pm after a Co2 alarm was activated at the residence. No injuries were reported, and the incident was handled routinely by the fire department.

Property Damage Accident

Bagdad Rd

Patrol responded to Bagdad Rd for a property damage accident after a vehicle struck a deer that had run into the roadway. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was able to be driven from the scene. The incident was documented by Patrol.

Genesee Rd

Patrol responded to the area of Genesee Rd after a tree was observed leaning against the utility lines in the area. The utility company was advised and the incident was documented by Patrol.

12.31.22

Fire

Maple Ave

Patrol and the Springville Fire Department, with assistance from numerous units from other area fire departments, responded to a Maple Ave residence at about 7:00 am after receiving reports of a residential structure fire. No injuries were reported, however the building sustained heavy damage from the fire. The scene was secured and Detectives from the Erie County Sheriff Fire Investigation Unit did respond to continue the investigation.

Warrant Arrest

N Buffalo St

Patrol did arrest John Pfarner, 41 years old of Springville NY, on an active arrest warrant after he was located by Patrol at a N Buffalo St residence. Mr Pfarner was additionally charged with multiple criminal charges after he was found to be in possession of narcotics during the incident. Mr Pfarner was eventually transported to the Erie County Holding Center to be held pending arraignment.

Warrant Arrest

Franklin St

Patrol did arrest Jacob Burdic, 37 years old of Springville NY, on an active arrest warrant after he was located at a West Valley Ny address. Mr Burdic was taken into custody and was transported to the Erie County Holding Center without incident.

Larceny

Savage Rd

Patrol responded to a Savage Rd address at about 11:00 am after a caller reported that sometime overnight an unknown person had stolen several items from a vehicle. A police report was filed by Patrol, and the incident was referred to the Detective Bureau for further investigation.

Property Damage Accident

Route 39

Patrol responded to the area of Route 39 at about 6:30 pm for a property damage accident, after a vehicle struck a deer that had run into the roadway. No injuries were reported and the vehicle was towed from the scene due to damage from the accident. An accident report was filed by Patrol.

DWI

Miller Ave

Patrol responded to Miller Ave for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch, and subsequently arrested the driver of the vehicle, David Long, 63 years old of Sardinia NY, after he was found to be intoxicated. Mr Long was charged with DWI as well as various other traffic offenses, and was eventually released with an appearance ticket.
