Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the Marine Patrol Unit arrested 58-year-old Daniel Fazzalaro of Depew for Boating While Intoxicated following a vessel stop on the Buffalo River around 8:50 P.M. Tuesday, June 11th.

The Deputies observed multiple navigational law violations and stopped the vessel.  The operator was taken to the shore and administered standard field sobriety tests. Also, he registered a BAC level more than one and a half times the legal limit.

Fazzalaro is charged with misdemeanor counts of operating a vessel while intoxicated, and operating a vessel with a BAC of .08 or higher.  He is also charged with two separate navigational law violations.

He was released to a sober third party.
