ECSO Gameday Announcement and Warnings.
Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard is sending a warning to individuals who trespass Sunday at the Bills’ stadium and lots – you will be arrested.
Due to Governor Cuomo’s orders prohibiting spectators in the stadium and people congregating in the Bills’ lots, any individual entering the lots or the stadium will be arrested.
“We have worked with the Buffalo Bills organization to implement safety and security measures for the stadium and the lots,” explained Sheriff Howard. “The Bills have created a detailed and strict plan to abide by the governor’s orders, and my office will assist the team in enforcing the guidelines on stadium property.”
The Sheriff’s Office will have Deputies and vehicles patrolling the lots and the stadium’s perimeter on game days. These measures will remain in effect until New York’s rules for sporting events are modified or lifted.
Sheriff Howard continued, “This is the warning to anyone planning on entering the lots or the stadium – you will be arrested. Please stay at home and enjoy the game.”
The Sheriff’s Office also announces the section of Abbott Road, in front of the stadium, will be closed to through traffic beginning at 10 a.m. Barricades and vehicles will be in place from Route 20 and Abbott Rd. through and up to the intersection of Route 20a and Abbott Rd.
