Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of 25-year-old Raymond Provorse of South Dayton following a driving while impaired investigation.
At 1:30 a.m. on March 29, deputies responded to Bush and Dogwood roads in the Town of Collins after a call from Seneca Nation of Indian marshals.
Deputies spoke with the operators and observed signs of impairment. They also discovered Provorse had eight active suspensions on his license. Deputies transported Provorse to the North Collins Substation for an evaluation by a Sheriff Drug Recognition Expert. The DRE determined he was impaired by drugs and was arrested.
Deputies charged Provorse with misdemeanor counts of DWI – impaired by drugs and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. The defendant was also charged with two separate vehicle and traffic law violations.
