Drug Dealer Out On Bail Arrested Again Within 3 Months. Fentanyl, Cocaine, and Cash Seized.
Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of 52-year-old Eric Jones of Buffalo on drug-related charges following a month-long investigation into his drug-dealing activities.
On March 2, the Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit initiated a traffic stop on William Street in the Town of Cheektowaga and executed a search warrant for his person and the vehicle. The search discovered approximately an ounce of cocaine in his possession.
The narcotics unit, accompanied by members of Buffalo Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, executed another search warrant at his residence at 98 Box Avenue in the City of Buffalo. During their search of the dwelling, the team recovered an additional amount of cocaine, approximately a half kilo of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and about $12,000.00 in U.S. Currency.
Jones is charged with
· Two felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell
· Two felony counts of criminal possession of a narcotic
· A felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance
· Two counts of criminal use of drug paraphernalia
· A vehicle and traffic law violation.
Jones is currently held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment for the March 2 arrest.
Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case signed the search warrants.
Jones posted a $10,000.00 bail/bond following a Buffalo Police arrest in November 2019 for criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell and other drug-related charges.
Jones has been arrested 22-times with nineteen misdemeanor convictions and one felony conviction. Many of those arrests and convictions were drug-related.
