Erie County Sheriff John C. Garcia reports the arrest of a drug dealer on bail awaiting sentencing in federal court.
In the morning of April 18, Detectives and Deputies with the Erie County Sheriff’s Narcotics and Intelligence Unit teamed with agents from FBI’s Safe Streets Task Force to execute a search warrant signed by Buffalo City Court Judge Peter Savage.
The officers entered the 169 Southside Parkway residence and recovered two kilos of cocaine. After a brief struggle, 40-year-old Agustin Ramos was arrested. Ramos is charged with one count of a class-A felony of criminal possession of a controlled substance - 1st degree, and one count of criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell – 3rddegree.
Ramos will be held at the Erie County Holding Center pending his arraignment.
The defendant is awaiting sentencing in federal court after pleading guilty following a 2018 drug case.
