Driver Harassing Park Visitors Arrested For Felony DWI by the Erie County Sheriff's Office.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of 60-year-old Jeffrey Courteau of Orchard Park following an investigation of a driver harassing visitors to Chestnut Ridge Park.

At approximately 2:25 p.m. on March 27, Deputies responded to complaints of a male driving through the park and harassing guests.  Deputies located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop.

While speaking to the operator, Deputies observed signs of impairment and a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver.  Courteau failed multiple standard field sobriety tests and was arrested.  Deputies also discovered his license was revoked.

The defendant is charged with a felony count of DWI – previous conviction within 10-year, a felony count of aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and a traffic infraction.

He was later released with tickets.
