DETECTIVES LOOKING FOR SUSPECTS IN DAYTIME BURGLARY.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports a suspicious incident and warning the public about two males posing as utility workers. On August 8, Deputies and Detectives reported to a Center Street residence in the Town of Colden for a daytime burglary. A stocky black male and a stocky white male in their late thirties to early forties, wearing high-visibility, utility style vests and carrying two-way radios convinced homeowners they needed access to the property and the residence. The suspects made off with cash and other valuables. The subjects were seen driving a red, standard cab pickup truck with tinted windows. The truck resembled a Ford body style and had a yellow flashing light on the cab’s roof. Anyone seeing this truck is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 716.858.2903 and refer to CL # 18-06271. Sheriff Howard is warning the public about this duo and is strongly advising not to allow these individuals to access your property or residence.
