[DELAYED] West Seneca - Suspicious Device Brings Out Erie Co. Sheriffs Bomb Squad.

The all clear has been given at the Home Depot on Ridge Road in West Seneca.

The store was evacuated for a short time Wednesday morning after an employee found items that are all sold at the store in a 'suspicious location' within the Stores Lighting Dept.

West Seneca Police, along with the Erie County Sheriff's Office responded after being contacted by the store Manager.

Lt. James Unger says an employee discovered some sort of device in a box on a shelf in the store's lighting department. He recognized that it was out of place and the police were called.

The device was x-rayed and found not to be explosive in nature. The store has since re-opened. Erie Co Sheriffs Bomb Squad has taken the item for further review and to dispose of the item. A simular situation happened around a month ago at the Target Store in Cheektowaga. It's unknown if the incident is related.
