COCAINE DEALER TRIES TO FLEE FROM NARCOTICS UNIT


Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports Armond Cleague, 33 of Buffalo, was arrested just after 2:00 P.M. on October 5, for felony drug-related charges.


The Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit was conducting a 6-month-long investigation into Cleague’s drug dealing activities. Cleague was arrested near Duerstein Street and Junior Avenue in Buffalo after he tried fleeing from Deputies in a vehicle. As part of their investigation, members of the Narcotics Unit recovered 9-ounces of cocaine, a quantity of marijuana, and approximately $8,800.00 in U.S currency. Cleague is charged with a class A-1 felony for criminal possession of a narcotic – 8-ounce or more, a B-felony for criminal possession of a narcotic with intent to sell, a misdemeanor count of unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, and a violation for marijuana possession. The defendant is held at the Erie County Holding Center Pending his arraignment in Buffalo City Court.
