Clarence Home Burns During Morning Fire.

Clarence - At 7:24A a 9-1-1 call into Amherst Fire Control reported a fire at 6180 Goodrich Road. The 9-1-1 caller reported she had seen smoke and flames shooting from the roof. The structure was a vacant structure that had been just purchased. Clarence Fire Chief Ben Hodge was on scene within 3 minutes of the 9-1-1 call and reported fire showing in the basement and first floor of the structure. The fire was reported to have been knocked down within 13 minutes. The cause is currently under investigation by the Clarence Fire Inspectors Office with assistance from the Erie County Sheriff's Office Fire Investigation Office. Total Damage is currently listed at $40,000. to the structure. Crews were assisted by Main-Transit Fire, Clarence Fire, Twin City Ambulance, National Fuel, ECSO, and Erie County Sheriff's Fire Investigators.
