Cheektowaga - Reported 100 Youths Starting to Fight with Shots Fired at Town Park and Victim Struck.

Cheektowaga, NY May 13. 2023 – CPD Officers responded to a disturbance in the Harlem Road Town Park. It was first reported that approximately 100 youths were getting ready to fight.

As CPD Patrol was enroute, gunshots were reported. CPD Patrol arrived to find one person shot near the playground area. The victim, a 15-year-old male, was transported to Oshei Children’s Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.

CPD Detectives continue to investigate the incident. The Town Park was then closed for the night.
