Cheektowaga Police Make Arrests Following Injury Accident.

On September 12, 2020 at 12:32pm, the Cheektowaga Police Department responded to a call of a car accident with injury at the intersection of Harlem Road and Clinton Street. Callers reported that two subject fled the area and that one subject may have had a handgun. Upon arrival, officers found three vehicles involved in the accident. One of the subjects who fled the scene was brought back by a witness. West Seneca PD assisted and located the other subject who fled the scene. Investigation revealed that the subject who fled the scene were involved in a robbery in the City of Buffalo. BPD was notified and responded to investigate. Cheektowaga Police Officers on scene located a hand gun and 9 ounces of marijuana in the vehicle that the two subjects fled from. The two subjects below were arrested for the listed charges. We have no further information related to the robbery in the City of Buffalo.
Julius Spell, 27 y/o from Humason Ave Buffalo, NY: Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th degree, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation 3rd degree. Mr. Spell was injured in the accident and transported to ECMC. He was released on appearance tickets.
A 17 y/o juvenile male was the second subject who fled the vehicle. He was also charges with Criminal Possession of Marijuana 3rd and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th. He was booked and released to a parent.
Two patients from one of the other vehicles involved in the accident were transported to South Buffalo Mercy for treatment.
