Cheektowaga PD Stops 2 For Shoplifting Investigation And Cocaine Is Discovered.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of two individuals on drug-related charges following an investigation by Cheektowaga Police Officers for crimes that occurred in their jurisdiction.

At approximately 6:10 p.m. on July 29, Deputies were contacted by Cheektowaga PD who, conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in the Town of Clarence; Officers were investigating a shoplifting complaint that occurred earlier. 

During the investigation, the Officers discovered approximately five grams of cocaine.

Deputies arrested 64-year-old Frank Morrocco of Williamsville and 53-year-old Laurie Lanthier of Lancaster and charged them each with a felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance – cocaine.

Deputies transported the defendants to the Erie County Holding Center as they await arraignment.
